Department of Medical and Telecommunication Technologies – Vall d’Hebron University Hospital
This position will be directly working with the Department of Information Systems and Decision Support in the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) and collaborating at the same time with the Statistics and Bioinformatics Unit from VHIR. The HUVH is the largest hospital complex in Catalonia (Spain) and one of the most important in Spain, offering complex healthcare through its public, teaching and community hospital. The Department of Information Systems and Decision Support has an innovative orientation in the approach and strategies to data collection and processing, including patient-reported outcomes. It has been pioneer in the country in developing the Value-Based Health Care model, employing systematic and participative methodologies. We are looking for an IT Project Manager to provide a unique platform for the extraction of clinical data from information systems (healthcare or hospital) for re-use in research. Contract linked to the project “TARTAGLIA: Red Federada de Inteligencia Artificial para acelerar la Investigación Sanitaria”. Funding by Ministerio de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital in the Next Generation funds
Education and qualifications:
Required:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Telecommunication Engineering or similar field.
▪ Fluency in Spanish, Catalan and English (intermediate).
▪ Organised, committed and with a desire to learn
Desired:
▪ Master's degree in TIC, project management or health.
Experience and knowledge:
The ideal candidate will meet two or more of the following criteria:
▪ Experience/Knowledge of networks, O.S., databases and cybersecurity
▪ Experience/Knowledge of GDPR
▪ Experience/Knowledge of Dicom/SOAP/HL7 protocols
▪ Previous experience in a hospital environment and/or health sector
▪ Proven experience in project management
Main responsibilities and duties:
▪ Lead projects for the implementation of clinical studies in areas and services of Vall Hebron University Hospital:
o Take requirements of the projects (technical and processes) to be able to convey this information where needed
o Track the implementation of projects and assure their alignment with the institution’s objectives
o Interact with the specialists of the different departments (information systems, data, networks, clinicians, hospital staff, etc.).
o Interact with external technical collaborators
o Create, track and manage all documentation generated within each project
Work on projects in augmented reality technologies, Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing, etc.
Labour conditions:
▪ Full-time position: 40h/week.
▪ Starting date: as soon as possible.
▪ Gross annual salary: 35 000 – 38 000 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
▪ Contract: permanent linked to project funds
