DESCRIPTION
IMDEA Energy is opening a Predoctoral Position for the Electrochemical Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on development of sustainable batteries using redox-active polymers.
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- To carry out the physicochemical and electrochemical characterization of redox polymers.
- To formulate electrode inks and prepare electrodes based on redox polymers.
- Electrochemical characterization of polymer-based electrodes.
- Assembling & Electrochemical Testing of polymer-based batteries (static and flow systems).
- Communication and dissemination of scientific results through high-quality scientific channels, including high-impact scientific publications, conference presentations, etc.
- Supervision of master's or undergraduate students.
REQUIREMENTS
Compulsory Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent.
- MSc. degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Other merits to value:
- Specific training or hands-on experience in electrochemistry.
- Specific training or hands-on experience with electrochemical energy storage devices.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
CONDITIONS
- Remuneration: Between 21.000€ – 23.500€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
- Contract: 1 year, possibility of renewal depending on performance.
