TAREAS/TASKS:

¿Tienes un grado o máster y quieres iniciarte en la investigación en sistemas de control de tráfico aéreo? Ofrecemos (IPTC-UPM) un contrato para investigar en sistemas de control de tráfico aéreo de drones (sistemas UTM/U-Space), y en concreto para desarrollar servicios avanzados que automaticen la autorización de los vuelos y la negociación con los operadores y pilotos. La investigación que se llevará a cabo implicará el diseño y desarrollo de prototipos con fines de validación, que serán co-diseñados y evaluados con los principales actores de la industria a nivel europeo y mundial, con el fin de fomentar la transferencia efectiva de tecnología y conocimiento.

Do you have a degree or master’s and want to start a career in research on air traffic control systems? We (IPTC-UPM) offer a contract to conduct research on drone traffic control systems (UTM/U-Space systems), specifically to develop advanced services that automate flight authorization and negotiation with operators and pilots. The research to be carried out will involve the design and development of prototypes for validation purposes, which will be co-designed and evaluated with key industry players at the European and global levels, in order to promote effective technology and knowledge transfer.

HABILIDADES-CUALIFICACIONES/SKILLS-QUALIFICATIONS: 

-Grado o máster en titulaciones relacionadas con Telecomunicación, Informática, Matemáticas. 

-Gran interés por la investigación aplicada, capacidad de análisis, pensamiento creativo, capacidad de trabajar en equipo.  

-Capacidades y gusto por la programación. 

-Buen nivel de inglés.

Degree or master's degree in degrees related to Telecommunications, Computer Science, Mathematics.

-Great interest in applied research, analytical skills, creative thinking, ability to work in a team.

-Skills and taste for programming.

-Good level of English.

REQUERIMIENTOS ESPECIFICOS/SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Aunque no es imprescindible, se valorará positivamente en el proceso de selección la titulación de Máster y la experiencia/conocimiento en algunas de las siguientes áreas: Sistemas U-Space, lenguajes de programación (TypeScript,JavaScript,Python), simulación, entornos cloud y arquitecturas de microservicios (Docker-compose, Kubernetes, virtualización, etc.), desarrollo de frontend/movil y conocimientos de inteligencia artificial.

Although not essential, a Master’s degree and experience/knowledge in some of the following areas will be positively valued in the selection process: U-Space systems, programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python), simulation, cloud environments and microservices architectures (Docker-compose, Kubernetes, virtualization, etc.), frontend/mobile development, and knowledge of artificial intelligence.

The Information Processing and Telecommunications Center (www.iptc.upm.es) is one of the Research Centers in UPM. With a convinced vocation of cooperation with industry, UPM-IPTC focuses on technologies of social and economic interest.DATA PROCESSING AND SIMULATION GROUPThe Data Processing and Simulation Group (GPDS), part of the Information Processing and Telecommunications Center and located at ETSIT (www.etsit.upm.es) of the U. Politécnica de Madrid, is formed by fifteen researchers and has a long track record of success in research projects for and in collaboration with companies. GPDS develops different lines of research, in particular the design and development of multisensor acquisition and fusion architectures, applied artificial intelligence and optimization techniques in sectors such as energy, air traffic control or defense.
