Research Engineer position in embedded systems design for 6G networks

Wireless Networking Group (WNG) at IMDEA Networks Institute invites applications for a Research Engineer position. Applicants with background in telecommunications, computer science, electronics, or related field are encouraged to apply. Successful candidate will work with embedded systems design for wireless experimentation, with strong practical applications. The candidate will work closely with Ph.D. students and researchers from the group to shape the design of next-generation networks.

Eligibility: It is necessary that the applicant have NIF or NIE and a residence/work permit in Spain. Also, the applicant must not have been employed by IMDEA in the SIX months prior to the start date of the contract. These are the requirements from the funding that supports this position.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or MSc in computer science, communication engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field with a good academic record.

Skills Required:

  • Embedded system design skills, preferably with FPGA-based platforms.
  • Programming skills on Matlab / Python.
  • Hands-on with laboratory equipment: oscilloscope, signal generators, power sources. 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
