ASSISTANT RESEARCHER POSITION TO WORK ON SYNTHESIS OF ZEOLITIC CATALYSTS
Description:
IMDEA Energy is opening a Research Assistant position for the Thermochemical Processes Unit (TCPU), looking for talented candidates with motivation and skills to carry out experimental research. The candidate should have knowledge of the main concepts around catalytic processes, that is, synthesis and characterization of catalysts and analytical techniques.
Tasks Description:
- Revision of the state of the art of the fundamentals related to the project.
- Synthesis and characterization of zeolitic catalysts with enhanced properties.
- Exploring different synthetic procedures to obtain a variety of zeolitic frameworks.
- Processing results and writing of reports.
Requirements:
Compulsory Requirements:
- B.Sc. in chemical engineering, chemistry or equivalent, finished in the last 5 years, are sought.
Other merits to value:
- Holding or be pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering, applied chemistry or related.
- Knowledge and/or experimental practice on the preparation of heterogeneous catalysts.
- Knowledge and/or experimental practice on analytical techniques typically applied in catalysts characterization.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
Selection Criteria:
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation.
Conditions:
- Remuneration: Between 18.000 € – 20.000 € per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
- Duration of the contract: 1 year, possibility of annual renewals depending on performance
