DESCRIPTION
IMDEA Energy is opening a Research Assistant Position for the Electrochemical Processes Unit to work on Development of electrodes based on redox polymers and their application in sustainable batteries
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- To synthesize redox polymers following advanced polymerization routes.
- To carry out the physicochemical and electrochemical characterization of redox monomers and polymers.
- To formulate electrode inks and prepare electrodes based on redox polymers.
- Assembling & Electrochemical Testing of polymer-based batteries (coin cells).
- Communication and dissemination of scientific results through high-quality scientific channels, including high-impact scientific publications, conference presentations, etc.
- Supervision of undergraduate students.
REQUIREMENTS
Compulsory Requirements:
- BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent.
- Official Master degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Merits to value:
- Specific training or hands-on experience in electrochemistry.
- Specific training or hands-on experience with electrochemical energy storage devices.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
CONDITIONS
- Remuneration: Between 18.000 € – 20.000 € per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
- Type of contract: 1 year, possibility of annual renewals depending on performance
