For the EU-funded ERC CoG 2023 project titled “Thermal Modulators based on novel 2D MXene materials for nearly isothermal battery operation” (project acronym “THERMO2DEAL”), the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC), the 2D Foundry group offers 1 position for a part-time project manager starting approximately on May 1, 2024, for 60 months, with an earlier or later start negotiable.
The project is funded by the ERC council within the Horizon ERC Grants of the European Commission. The work will be conducted in the research group of Dr. Muñoz Rojo at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM) at CSIC. All applications must be sent to m.m.rojo@csic.es
Tasks and Responsibilities: The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and justifying the project, including managing potential amendments. They will also handle administrative tasks such as contract management, procurement processing, tenders, and organizing events (meetings, seminars, conferences, etc.). Additionally, they will serve as the Community Manager for the project, managing social media platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree holder. A Ph.D. is appreciated.
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills in English.
- Experience in managing European projects and/or in management at CSIC.
Other Skills:
Ability to solve problems independently, but also to work in a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure the proper execution of the project.
We Offer:
5 years part-time contract (20 hours per week).
