Responsibilities:
- Conduct original research in migration studies, specialising in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
- Design and implement research projects in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
- Analyse and interpret legal frameworks for migration, refugees, and asylum seekers.
- Explore the intersection of migration studies with international human rights law.
- Contribute to publishing research findings in reputable academic journals and other outlets.
- Collaborate with senior researchers, scholars, and experts in related fields.
- Present research findings at conferences and participate in workshops.
- Mentor and assist junior researchers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Migration Studies, Law, Human Rights, or a related field.
- C1 level of English (minimum).
- Expertise in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
- Strong research background with evidence of scholarly contributions, such as publications and conference presentations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-cultural, diverse, multidisciplinary research team.
- Commitment to advancing the understanding of migration issues from a legal and human rights perspective.
