Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research in migration studies, specialising in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
  • Design and implement research projects in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
  • Analyse and interpret legal frameworks for migration, refugees, and asylum seekers.
  • Explore the intersection of migration studies with international human rights law.
  • Contribute to publishing research findings in reputable academic journals and other outlets.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers, scholars, and experts in related fields.
  • Present research findings at conferences and participate in workshops.
  • Mentor and assist junior researchers as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Migration Studies, Law, Human Rights, or a related field.
  • C1 level of English (minimum).
  • Expertise in migration law, refugee and asylum issues, and human rights.
  • Strong research background with evidence of scholarly contributions, such as publications and conference presentations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-cultural, diverse, multidisciplinary research team.
  • Commitment to advancing the understanding of migration issues from a legal and human rights perspective.
