“Social Dialogue for Skills” is a project aiming at fostering national and sectoral Social Dialogue level while supporting the implementation of the Pact for Skills in the agri-food ecosystem, considering the effects on the agricultural sector of the COVID-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine.

The sectoral focus of the project will consist of promoting Social Dialogue and implementing the Pact for Skills in the agricultural sector. That is why this project is a joint proposal by the European Sectorial Social Partners in Agriculture: The European Federation of Trade Unions in the Food, Agriculture, and Tourism sectors (EFFAT); and the Employers’ Group of Professional Agricultural Organisations in the European Union (GEOPA).

The research phase will be done through two detailed surveys sent to the 116 EFFAT and 22 members of GEOPA. The combined membership of agricultural trade unions and national employers’ associations is particularly representative of the European reality, allowing EFFAT and GEOPA to deliver a comprehensive overview of the current national social dialogue situation and the need for reskilling and upskilling in the sector.
