FUNCIONES/OFFER DESCRIPTION:

Two postdoc researcher positions on Advanced Technologies and Applied Artificial Intelligence for Energy and Utilities Management. The researchers will join the team to lead research within the framework of the AI4TES project (Advanced Intelligent Technologies for Energy Sustainable Transition), a large R&D project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation under AI Missions Programme that counts on relevant stakeholders of the energy sector and related technological services. The researchers will be able to choose among different activity lines to develop, including a) Optimization strategies for flexibility markets; b) Simulation and detection of cyberattacks over energy network components; c) Customer modeling, behavior analysis and emotions recognition for marketing services; d) Digital twin design of energy network components; e) Anomaly detection over aerial images for energy network components; f) Mixed Reality systems for augmented and predictive maintenance, etc. The research to be carried out will involve the design and development of prototypes for validation purposes, that will be co-designed and evaluated with key industry stakeholders, in order to foster effective technology and knowledge transfer.----------

Dos puestos de investigador postdoctoral en Tecnologías Avanzadas e Inteligencia Artificial Aplicada para Gestión de Energía y Utilities. Los investigadores se incorporarán al equipo para liderar líneas de investigación en el marco del proyecto AI4TES (Tecnologías Inteligentes Avanzadas para la Transición Energética Sostenible), un gran proyecto de I+D financiado por el Ministerio de Economía y Transformación Digital en el marco del Programa Misiones IA que cuenta con actores relevantes del sector energético y servicios tecnológicos relacionados. Los investigadores podrán elegir entre diferentes líneas de investigación, como por ejemplo a) Estrategias de optimización para mercados de flexibilidad; b) Simulación y detección de ciberataques sobre componentes de la red energética; c) Modelado de clientes, análisis de comportamiento y reconocimiento de emociones para servicios de marketing; d) Diseño de gemelos digitales de componentes de la red energética; e) Detección de anomalías sobre imágenes aéreas para componentes de la red energética; f) Sistemas de Realidad Mixta para mantenimiento aumentado y predictivo, etc. La investigación que se llevará a cabo implicará el diseño y desarrollo de prototipos con fines de validación, que serán co-diseñados y evaluados con los principales actores de la industria, con el fin de fomentar la transferencia efectiva de tecnología y conocimiento.

REQUERIMIENTOS ESPECIFICOS/SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Although not strictly essential, demonstrable expertise in the following aspects will be positively considered:

• - design and development of software components on state-of-the-art architectures (microservices, Kubernetes, Docker-compose, APIs deployment, etc.).
• - proposal writing for EU and national research and innovation projects. -----------------

Aunque no es estrictamente imprescindible, se valorará positivamente la experiencia demostrable en:

• - diseño y desarrollo de componentes de software sobre arquitecturas de última generación (microservicios, Kubernetes, Docker-compose, despliegue de APIs, etc.).
• -  redacción de propuestas de proyectos de investigación nacionales y europeos. 

HABILIDADES-CUALIFICACIONES/SKILLS-QUALIFICATIONS: 

• - Ph.D. Degree, preferably in areas related to Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
• - Very good record of publications.- Demonstrable expertise in applied artificial intelligence (machine learning / deep learning, artificial vision, simulation through agent
• -based modeling, expert systems, etc.)  and specific software tools knowledge.
• - Autonomous, analytical and innovative mind.- Ability to lead research lines and manage teams with junior researchers.
• - Good mood and ability to work in a team.-----------------------------------------

• - Doctorado, preferiblemente en áreas relacionadas con las telecomunicaciones, la informática y la ingeniería eléctrica.
• - Muy buen historial de publicaciones.
• - Experiencia demostrable en inteligencia artificial aplicada (machine learning / deep learning, modelado basado en agentes, sistemas expertos, etc.) y uso de herramientas de software específicas.
• - Autonomía y capacidad de análisis. Pensamiento creativo.
• - Capacidad para liderar líneas de investigación y gestionar equipos con investigadores junior.
• - Buen humor y capacidad para trabajar en equipo.
