The Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) CNIC has been conceived to develop research of excellence, competitive and of international relevance in relation to cardiovascular diseases. The CNIC has a research center of 24,000 m², located in Madrid, with more than 6,000 m² for laboratories equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment.

The CNIC offers a position of Lab Technician within the Translational Laboratory for Imaging and Cardiovascular Therapy led by Dr. Borja Ibañez.

The candidate will join a leading laboratory in the field of cardioprotection against myocardial infarction and cardiotoxic therapies, where they will participate in projects with a clearly translational approach, capable of addressing issues related to the biology and mechanisms of disease and health, always having as final objective to reach the patient.

Functions:

• Support for group researchers to carry out the linked project
• Support in the management of colonies and experimentation with laboratory animals
• Support in advance imaging studies and data analyses.

Essential requirements:

• Biosanitary Professional Training of Higher Degree or Bachelor/Master in Biomedical sciences obtained in the last five years
• At least two years of experience/fellowship/trainee in a biomedicine laboratory.
• English level, C2 or equivalent or native, first ones creditable by official certification.

Valuable Requirements:

• Demonstrated international research experience (it will be valued according to the number of years or fraction)
• Knowledge and/or experience in cardio-oncology research field (number of years or fraction or according to training courses).
• Knowledge and/or experience in with large-animal models of cardiovascular disease, advance cardiac imaging (mainly cardiac magnetic resonance) and animal experimentation. (number of years or fraction or according to training courses).
• Clinical experience in cardio research field (it will be valued according to the number of years or fraction)

At least the 3 candidates with the highest score will be interviewed (as long as they reach a minimum of 70 points as a sum of criteria C1-C4). The candidate with the highest score will be hired given the total score (C1 –C5) is higher than 85 points.
