Postdoc position in mobile networking

IMDEA Network invites applications for a postdoc position in the area of mobile networking and network intelligence. The researcher will be involved in cutting edge research, will participate in international projects, will help in the supervision of PhD students and will collaborate with international industry partners. The postdoc will work on the design, validation, and implementation of mobile network algorithms and/or the application of deep learning solutions to optimize the operation of mobile systems.

Skills Required

The candidate should have a subset of the following skills:

• Mobile network architectures
• Network slicing, virtualization, and network orchestration technologies
• Probability and random processes, theoretical analysis and optimization
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Implementation analysis and experimental evaluation of wireless systems
• Very good organization and communication skills
• Hands on experience on design/implementations of network functions and/or deep learning models

Requirements

• PhD in computer science, telecommunication engineering, or a related field
• Very good research record, with publications in top academic conferences and journals
• Proficiency in English is mandatory

Contract Duration & Type

• 30 months, renewable based on performance
• Full-time contract. Includes social and health benefits
