ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF BURGOS:

ICCRAM (International Research Center in CRMs for Advanced Industrial Technologies), is an International Excellence Research Center located at the University of Burgos facilities, which is developing activities in the following areas: Biophysics, Biotechnology, Industrial Technology, Materials Science, Nanosafety, Materials design, Nanotechnology, Resource management efficiency, Eco-innovation and Substitution of critical raw materials. ICCRAM is a major partner in international organizations with participation in 16 H2020 European projects. 

Job description 

ICCRAM is offering a new position as Communication & Dissemination manager to match the current growth of the Center.  The candidate will be responsible of the following tasks: 

Related to specific H2020 Projects:  

• Development of the RRI (Responsible Research and Innovation) strategy to be included in H2020 Projects. 

• Responsible for the management and implementation of Communication & Dissemination tasks in the framework of EU-funded projects

• Development of the Communication activities (project website set up and management, communication material, social networks, events organization as workshops, project meetings, etc.) 

• Report of the communication activities to the European Commission and project partners (deliverables, Project meetings, annual reports).  

• Coordination of the communication and dissemination activities across the Project Consortium. 

• Representing the Institute in International Events and commercial meetings (EU Infodays, B2B meetings, Fairs and Exhibitions

Related to ICCRAM

• Planning of the Communication strategy of the Center.

• Implementation of communication, dissemination and exploitation activities linked to the general strategy.

• Coordination with the University’s communication bodies optimizing the communication activities and involving the researchers in UBU’s events. 

• Development of printed and digital communication material (e.g. flyers, press releases, short articles, blogposts, videos, newsletters etc.)

• ICCRAM’s Website update, Social Networks management, press releases, etc. 

• Elaborate scientific communications with the support of the researchers of the Center to be published in relevant newsletters.

Requirements 

• Msc Degree in Communication, Marketing, Social Science, Digital Science or related disciplines. 

• At least 3 years of experience as Communication Manager. 

• Graphic design skills. Photography and video edition skills will be valuable. 

• Organizational skills and practical experience in events planning and organization.

• Have excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proven international professional expertise and excellent collaborative skills. Experience in participation in European Projects will be valuable

• Great communicative (both oral and writing) skills in English (C1 level or equivalent).

• Innovative and able to generate new and unconventional ideas

• Proactive, self-sufficient, reliable, and friendly behavior. Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.

• Availability and willingness to travel abroad for project meetings

• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe suite, or equivalent tools for graphic design.

• Community manager experience.
