Postdoctoral position availbale in the group of Prof. Fernando Martín at IMDEA Nanociencia, Madrid. The position (1+1 years) will be fully funded under the project Fulmaten-CM, coordinated by IMDEA Nanociencia (Y2018/NMT-5028, funded by the Synergy Programmes of Comunidad de Madrid). The project aims at using attosecond and few-femtosecond laser pulses for real time imaging of charge transfer processes occurring in organic molecules and eventually control them.

The candidates must hold a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a closely related subject, as well as show a solid demonstrable experience in atomic, molecular and optical physics, attosecond physics, scattering theory, numerical methods and/or programming. Transnational mobility periods, demonstrated independence and commitment to team work, and any additional skills in computational modelling and/or experimental work on ultrafast science will be positively valued.

The successful candidates will be involved in the following tasks: (i) Description of theoretical photoelectron spectra and attosecond transtient absorption, (ii) Improvement and application of theoretical models to visualize the electronic dynamics in molecular systems (from gas-phase to organic photovoltaic systems), (iii) Evaluation of the performance of photoelectron and attosecond transient absorption spectra for key systems, and (iv) real time imaging of charge transfer dynamics in organic photovoltaic systems.

Applications, including a letter of motivation and future research interests, a CV and list of publications, contact information for two references, copy of PhD certificate, and any additional information that can support the application should be sent by email to fulmaten-cm@imdea.org before February 20th, 2020, with the reference "Fulmaten-IMDEA7" in the issue.
