A predoctoral position is open at the FunNanoDev group at IMDEA Nanociencia. The position will be funded by the project 2017-T1/IND-5562 2DSPIN, within the call "ayudas destinadas a la atracción de talento investigador para su incorporación a grupos de investigación de la comunidad de Madrid (2017)

The Project deals with the controlled production of low-dimensional magnetic hybrids, from 2D materials to 1D carbon-nanotubes hybridized with molecules and their subsequent transfer into functional nano-devices for spintronics applications.

 The candidate must hold a BSc in Chemistry or a closely related area. A MSc will be specially valued. The candidate must show good knowledge in molecular synthesis, 2D materials and materials science. We will specially value enthusiasm for Science, teamwork spirit, personal initiative and communication skills in English.  

The candidate will carry out the obtention of the 2D materials, their chemical modification and the synthesis of organic hybrids. The candidate will also perform the transfer of the nanonomaterials and their electronic characterization in the resulting devices.
