Experiencia
M.S. degree in biochemical engineering, microbiology, biotechnology or related field
At least two years of experience in the biotech industry, working in fermentation and downstream processes.
Experience in providing the know-how to ensure the correct transfer of technology as well as proposing improvements in quality, cost, performance, time and safety.
Experience with relevant state-of-the-art technologies at industrial scale is desirable.
Experience in the food industry will be desirable.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Role and Responsibilities

As a key member, you will be tasked with

  • Design and execute a wide range of microbial fermentation research and optimization experiments to develop scalable and cost-effective processes.

  • Experimental data analysis and interpretation as well as preparation and presentation of reports and recommendations

  • Prepare and maintain master and working stocks of microbial strains following written procedures, and revise or develop preparation protocols as needed.

  • Identify key factors affecting fermentation including media compositions, inoculum preparation, inoculation rate, and fermentation control parameters.

  • Scale up/down fermentation processes.

  • Provide detailed tech transfer documents for scale up at the production facility’s pilot and production scales.

  • Provide fermentation support to manufacturing operations as needed.

  • Computer skills: bioinformatics software to analyse high throughput data

  • Other assigned tasks as needed
