Technical position

Application for PTA2020 contracts


Looking for a PTA candidate (Personal Técnico de Apoyo del Ministerio, PTA2020) for the Genomics Unit of the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC), Madrid.


-Qualification required is that of a graduate, engineer, technical engineer or higher technician within the framework of professional training of the educational system.

(Candidates must not be PTA beneficiaries from previous calls on the date of publication of the call extract in the BOE (November 11, 2020). Should not be linked to CNIC).

-Experience in genomic technologies.


Candidates who meet the call requirements and have expertise on genome analysis should send their CV, a motivation letter and the contact information of 2 references to no later than January 25th, 2021. The purpose of these grants is to encourage the recruitment of technical support personnel in R&D Centres. They are intended to support the management of equipment, facilities and other R&D&i infrastructures for increasing and improving the performance of scientific-technological infrastructures. The duration of the grants is of three years for the employment of technicians by R&D Centres.


The CNIC Genomics Unit ( is dedicated to providing high-quality genomics technology and support to the scientific community at the CNIC and beyond. Currently, the Unit specializes in next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies for genome analysis using Illumina sequencers.
