DESCRIPTION

IMDEA's Computational and Data-driven Materials Discovery Group is looking to fill a research assistant position. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of algorithms and software tools that will drive an autonomous laboratory equipped with collaborative robots.

The successful candidate will gain experience in machine learning, material informatics, collaborative robots etc.

Additionally, the researchers will join regular training activities on transferable skills organized by the Project Management Office at IMDEA in project management, leadership, funding search, grant writing, intellectual property, and science communication to specialized and non-specialized audiences.

 

REQUIREMENTS

A degree in material science, chemistry, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, electric engineering or a related field.

Working knowledge of at least one programming language as well as experience with at least one family of statistical machine learning methods.
Fluent in English.
Previous research experience and/or experience with robots/microcontrollers/3D printers is a plus.

 

Candidates must be:

  • Be over 16 years of age and under 30 years of age.
  • Be registered as an unemployed job seeker in one of the employment offices of the Community of Madrid.
