We are looking for a POSTDOCTORAL candidate with interest in post-transcriptional regulation, cancer biology and immunology to work at the Epitranscriptomics and cancer lab led by Dr Sandra Blanco at the Centre for Cancer Research (Spanish Research Council Centre CSIC– University of Salamanca) https://blancolab.csic.es/

The institution offers one of the best research environments in the field of cancer and cutting-edge infrastructures (Microscopy, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Proteomics). https://www.cicancer.org/.

Our research aims at defining novel concepts to develop new therapeutic strategies by integrating multidisciplinary approaches including RNA biology, RNA modifications, cancer, immunology, omics, mouse models, clinical samples. Our studies may highlight systematically characterization of microenvironmental heterogeneity regulated by plastic cues such as RNA modifications, and show that the heterogeneity in cancer extends to epitranscriptomic variation.

Tasks to perform: Mouse work, preparation of RNA libraries for detection of RNA modifications, molecular and cellular biology techniques, microscopy, cytometry, project management, reports and papers preparation, students supervision.

Application process: The lab offers one year contract but the candidate will be required to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Salamanca, AECC or Juan de la Cierva in Nov and Dec 2021. Please submit your CV, motivation letter and two contacts for reference letters to Dr Sandra Blanco at Sandra.blanco@usal.es
