Our activities are growing rapidly and we are currently looking for candidates to join the company during the expansion phase. We are seeking a talented, highly organized and collaborative scientist to join our growing team in Madrid, Spain. The candidate must have interest to contribute to the growth of a young and dynamic start-up company.

 Your key responsibilities

• Establish technologies and assays to evaluate drug-target interactions.
• Assist to characterize the mechanism of action of drugs.
• Prepare compound plates to be used in screening assays.
• Routinely perform in-vitro assays and high throughput screens within agreed timelines.
• Laboratory maintenance: inventory, reagent preparation, maintenance and QC of equipment.
• Analyze data ensuring high quality, statistical rigor, timely delivery and transparency in reporting.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records of all activities.
• Following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Laboratory Practices for assigned tasks.
• Present and discuss your work in Enzymlogic’s project teams and with partners and clients.
• Thrive at the interface between disciplines and be able to quickly move from one scientific challenge to another while navigating ambiguity.
• Demonstrate learning agility in grasping and exploiting new scientific concepts and methods across disciplines to provide refreshing ideas and innovative solutions that will allow advance Enzymlogic’s projects.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics or a life science discipline with 0-4 years’ of hands-on experience.
• Experience with high throughput screening assays and automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with computer programming is highly desirable.
• Full working proficiency in written and spoken English is essential (C1-C2 level).
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability are required.
• Excellent team spirit to interact effectively across functional, geographic and cultural boundaries.
• Positive attitude and willingness to come up with ideas for improvement.
• Dynamic and durable personality with high levels of drive, enthusiasm and ability to cope with changing projects and circumstances.
• Fast learner, organized, detail-oriented, and devoted to company goals.
• Able to collaborate proficiently and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
