Applicants should have a Bachelor or Degree in Physical Sciences (or equivalent in the case of foreign qualifications), background and previous published works on beyond-standard-model (BSM) phenomenology and collider physics, and no more than 2 years of postdoctoral experience; a preference will be given to candidates with a special interest and expertise in top physics, extra gauge boson phenomenology, Monte Carlo methods, new software development for testing BSM models against LHC data, MVA and ML tools. The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily on a project related to the performance of search strategies for BSM physics at the LHC and their optimization with ML techniques. |

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities or Duties:
Active participation in the normal activities of the IFT is required alongside the specific duties related to the project.
- Analytical and computation skills in one-loop processes and BSM models.
- Analytical and simulation skills in collider physics.
- Communicating with national and international partners.
- Assistance in the supervision of PhD students.
- Presentation of work and results at international conferences.
Contract details
- Duration: 36 months.
- Salary: 2.400 €/month, before taxes.
- Job status: full-time (37.5 hours/week).
- Starting date: September 1st 2021.
- Includes Spanish Social Security and public healthcare.
Requisites
