Predoctoral position (2020 FPU call)
Dr. Mercedes Ricote´s lab is looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated candidates interested in developing a thesis project in her lab. The student will work in a project focused on the role of nuclear receptor RXR in cardiac homeostasis and disease. Different models and techniques, including tissue-specific knockout mice, genome-wide analysis, in vivo imaging and bioinformatic approaches, will be used. The candidate is expected to apply the 2020 FPU call (expected to be published by the end of October 2020)

DESIRED PROFILE:
ØUniversity Degree in related biomedical sciences
ØAn academic record above 8.5 (scale 1-10) is mandatory
ØMaster degree is required (finished in 2020)
ØSolid communication skills in English
ØPrevious research experience in molecular biology and mouse models will be valued
ØAdditional experience in genomics and/or bioinformatics analysis will be a plus (R and/or Python language)
