The EU H2020 MSCA Innovative Training Network MINTS (https://b5g-mints.eu/) offers a PhD position in the area of millimeter-wave communications. The position focuses on efficient millimeter-wave channel estimation and beam training (ESR1) and is with the IMDEA Networks Institute, Spain.
The position offers:

The position requires:
A degree in Computer Science or related field, with a solid academic record Strong programming skills Fluency in written and spoken English Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research Previous experience in wireless networking and testbeds (not mandatory, but highly appreciated).
The position is funded by the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network “MINTS – MIllimeter-wave NeTworking and Sensing for Beyond 5G” (https://b5g-mints.eu/), within the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission. Online Social Networks (OSN) have shaped the way we interact nowadays, but they also expose us to different forms of aggressive.
An example is the memetic content to encourage extremist and violent discourse [1].
The purpose of this PhD is to devise new methods aiming at protecting users from aggressions in OSN. The scope of the project will focus on studying the problem of radicalization, the promotion of violence and the use of online aggression from a broad perspective.

IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for a PhD position in the area of LiFi technology for Internet of Small Things. As IoT devices are getting miniaturized, new challenges must be addressed to communicate, compute and sense. As a member of the team, the researcher will join a well-known research group in the field (see also https://openvlc.org) and investigate LiFi for miniaturized IoT devices in the framework of a recently accepted EU project.
Skills Required
Background in wireless systems and/or embedded systems Hands-on experience with experimental work is desired, but not mandatory Proficiency in English is mandatory
