The group of Magnetic and photo-activated nanomaterials for biomedical applications offers two research assistant positions (6-12 months duration) funded by the project 2018T1/IND10058, within the call "Ayudas destinadas a la atracción de talento investigador de la Comunidad de Madrid (2018)” at IMDEA Nanociencia.

The project is focused on the study of nanotherapies based on magnetic and photo-activated nanomaterials for biomedical applications as anticancer treatments, proposing innovative strategies to optimize and evaluate the therapeutic potential of nanothermal effects in combination with other therapeutic modalities. The candidates will have different tasks related with their scientific profile. Within this project, the candidates will be part of a collaboration with local and international expert teams. This research project offers a multidisciplinary research in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy and Medicine.

The candidates must have a Master or Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or a related area close to the time of appointment. Main considerations for selection are excellent grades, high motivation, enthusiasm and a very good English knowledge. The experience in cell culture and in modern programming languages will be valued.

The candidates will carry out the characterization of the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials and their therapeutic evaluation in the tumor environment.

Applications will include a Curriculum Vitae and a motivation letter.
