The Thermochemical Process Unit of IMDEA develops research on development of materials, mainly catalysts, and thermochemical processes for biomass, CO2 and solid wastes valorization to fuels and chemicals.
IMDEA Energy is opening a Researcher in Training position on Thermochemical Process Unit.
Your Tasks:
- Synthesis and characterization of catalysts.
- Preparation of solutions, reagents and laboratory material required for the realization of catalytic tests.
- Conducting thermal and catalytic pyrolysis tests and hydrotreatment at laboratory scale and pilot plant with different raw materials.
- Analysis of raw materials and reaction products.
- Technical reports and presentation of results.
Your Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- BSc. or MSc. degree preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Knowledge and/or familiarity with chemical processes and catalysts.
- Accredited oral and written communication skills in English.
Location: Móstoles, Madrid, Spain.
Duration: The position is available immediately and is a one-year appointment.
